These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website and the doorstep mobile phone repair services provided by DeviceDoc ("DeviceDoc", "we", "us" or "our").

By booking a repair, contacting us on WhatsApp, or using this website, you ("you", "the customer") agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with them, please do not use our services.

1. Who we are

DeviceDoc is a doorstep mobile phone repair service operating in Chandigarh, Mohali and Zirakpur, India.

  • Registered address:
  • Phone:
  • Email:
  • GSTIN:

2. Our services

We provide on-site ("doorstep") repair of mobile phones and related devices. A technician travels to an address you specify within our service area and, wherever technically possible, carries out the repair in your presence.

Our services may include, without limitation:

  • Screen and display replacement
  • Battery replacement
  • Charging port and connector repair
  • Speaker, microphone and earpiece repair
  • Camera repair or replacement
  • Liquid-damage cleaning and recovery
  • Software troubleshooting and restoration
  • Back panel and body replacement

Certain complex repairs (for example, motherboard-level or micro-soldering work, or severe liquid damage) cannot be completed at your doorstep. In such cases we will tell you before we begin, and may — only with your explicit consent — take the device to our workshop and return it to you once the work is complete.

3. Booking an appointment

  • You may book through the booking form on this website, on WhatsApp, or by calling us.
  • A booking request is a request, not a confirmed appointment. Your slot is confirmed only when we confirm it to you on WhatsApp or by phone.
  • Appointment times are indicative windows, not guaranteed arrival times. Traffic, weather and preceding jobs may cause delays. We will keep you informed of any material delay.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age, and must be the owner of the device or authorised by the owner to have it repaired.
  • To confirm a booking we may request a ₹200 advance. This advance is adjusted against your final repair bill, and is refundable in accordance with our Cancellation and Refund policies.

4. Diagnosis & quotation

  • Diagnosis is free. Our technician will inspect your device and identify the fault at no charge.
  • We will then give you a quotation for the repair. Work begins only after you approve that quotation.
  • A quotation given over WhatsApp or phone before inspection is an estimate only, based on what you have described. The final price is the one quoted after physical inspection, and it may differ.
  • If, after opening the device, we discover additional faults that change the price, we will stop, inform you, and seek your approval before continuing. You may decline and pay nothing.
  • No fix, no fee: if we are unable to repair your device, you do not pay any repair charge.

5. Pricing & payment

  • Prices displayed on this website are indicative ranges, and vary by device model, part quality and fault. They do not constitute a binding offer.
  • Payment is due after the repair is completed and the device is working as agreed.
  • We accept UPI, debit card, credit card, net banking and cash. Online payments are processed by our payment gateway partner, Razorpay. We do not store your card or banking details.
  • All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless we state otherwise in writing.
  • Where you have cancelled after our technician has already travelled to you, a visit charge of ₹199 may apply — see our Cancellation Policy.

6. Spare parts & warranty

  • We use genuine or premium-quality compatible spare parts. We will tell you which grade of part is being used, and the price will reflect it.
  • Replaced parts carry a 6-month warranty from the date of repair, covering defects in the part and in our workmanship.
  • Replaced (faulty) parts removed from your device become our property unless you ask to keep them at the time of repair.

The warranty does NOT cover:

  • Any new physical damage, cracks, drops or impact after the repair
  • Liquid or moisture damage occurring after the repair
  • Damage from a power surge, faulty charger or unauthorised accessory
  • Any device opened, tampered with, or serviced by a third party after our repair
  • Faults unrelated to the part we replaced or the work we performed
  • Removal or damage to the warranty seal/sticker applied by us
  • Software issues, viruses, or problems caused by user-installed apps or OS updates
  • Normal wear and tear, and gradual battery capacity decline

Important: Repairs carried out by us, like any third-party repair, will typically void any remaining manufacturer's warranty on your device. Please consider this before proceeding, particularly if your device is still under manufacturer warranty. Proceeding with our repair means you accept this.

7. Your responsibilities

Before the technician arrives, and during the visit, you agree to:

  • Back up your data. This is the single most important thing you can do. You are solely responsible for backing up all data (contacts, photos, messages, files, app data) before the repair. We are not a data-recovery service.
  • Remove security locks where asked. Some repairs require us to test the device. You may be asked to disable screen locks, Find My iPhone / Google FRP lock, or similar.
  • Confirm that you own the device, or are authorised by the owner to have it repaired. We will not knowingly repair a stolen or unlawfully obtained device, and we will report devices we reasonably suspect to be stolen.
  • Provide a safe, well-lit, reasonably quiet working space with access to a power point.
  • Treat our technician with respect. We reserve the right to abandon a visit and refuse service where a technician faces abusive, unsafe, threatening or discriminatory behaviour.
  • Remove SIM cards, memory cards, cases and any personal valuables from the device before the repair.
  • Provide accurate information about the device, its fault, and its history (including any previous repairs or liquid exposure).

8. Your device & your data

  • Repairs are performed in your presence wherever technically possible. Your device does not leave your sight.
  • Our technicians will not access, view, copy or extract your personal data. We do not ask for your passwords except where strictly necessary to test the repair, and then only with your knowledge.
  • Data loss: although we take reasonable care, some repairs — particularly software repairs, liquid-damage recovery and motherboard work — carry an inherent risk of partial or total data loss. We are not liable for any loss of data, and by proceeding with the repair you accept that risk. Please see clause 9.
  • Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Our total liability to you in connection with any repair shall not exceed the amount you actually paid us for that repair.
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or loss of use of the device.
  • We shall not be liable for pre-existing damage or latent defects in your device, nor for faults that were present but not disclosed to us, nor for the failure of components unrelated to the work we performed.
  • Devices that have suffered liquid damage or that have been previously opened or repaired by a third party are inherently unpredictable. We may decline such work, and where we attempt it we do so on a best-effort basis with no guarantee of success, and accept no liability if the device becomes wholly or partially inoperable.
  • We shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including traffic, weather, natural disasters, strikes, civil unrest, power or network outages, or unavailability of spare parts.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Indian law.

10. Repairs we may decline

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue a repair, at our sole discretion, where:

  • We reasonably suspect the device is stolen or that you are not authorised to have it repaired;
  • The device is too severely damaged to be repaired safely or economically;
  • The required spare part is unavailable;
  • The working environment is unsafe, or the technician is subjected to abusive or threatening behaviour;
  • The device has a swollen or damaged battery presenting a fire or safety risk;
  • Proceeding would, in our technician's judgement, be likely to cause further damage.

Where we decline, you pay nothing for the diagnosis.

11. Cancellation & refunds

Cancellations are governed by our Cancellation Policy, and refunds by our Refund Policy. Both form part of these Terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version takes effect when published on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will change. The Terms that apply to your repair are those in force on the date you booked it. Please review this page periodically.

13. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Phagwara, Punjab, India.

We would much rather resolve any problem directly and quickly. If something has gone wrong, please contact us first — we take complaints seriously and aim to respond within 48 hours.
